LitBot + Privacy

Information We Collect and How We Use It

When you use LitBot, Slack sends a unique, random id for each team and user. It looks like “U03G0SSSL”. We store that ID so when you request, say, Alice in Wonderland, we know your position in the book, and can send you the next chunk of text for it. We also store the name of each team using the service, so we can know the kinds of organizations using LitBot. Other than that, nothing. We do not store email addresses, usernames, or any other private info.

Your Privacy Using LitBot

All messages LitBot posts in Slack are private, so only you see them. They are temporary, so will disappear if you reload Slack. LitBot will remember where you were, though, and will send you the next chunk when you request it.
